Meet the Ambassadors

Shell and Perry are of course huge ambassadors for T-REx but we are supported by the most incredible team of enthusiastic trailrunners.

Trail running is for everyone. If you run then you are a runner

Get to know our tribe !

Meet the T-REx Trail Running Ambassador and Support Team – a lovely bunch of people, all from different backgrounds and levels of running ability. All have been brought together by their love for hitting the trails and building an amazing running community. It’s not just about the miles; it’s about the easy-going runs, the shared laughter and the simple joy of exploring trails together.

If you join us for for a run you’ll normally see at least one of our ambassadors, but you can always reach out to them on Instagram to find out more about the T-REx running ethos and for any ‘let me pick your brains’ moments you may have.

Running for me has been all about self discovery. When I first started, I was the reluctant runner who only agreed to go out with a friend because she had asked me a million times.

I did it to balance my physical and mental health. It was about pushing my limits to see what I can do, chasing that runners high and my more, more, more personality never being satisfied with anything I achieved.

It quickly became routine, and I trained for my first half not long after. That journey included me quitting alcohol and ultimately now, completely changing my life.

I have now found my groove and realised that the joy doesn’t come from speed or purely the number on the distances for me. It’s about being curious, whether that’s with routes, nutrition, training etc. It’s about getting out there to see amazing things. Being transported away from reality for a few hours, forgetting the day to day responsibilities and feeling carefree for just a bit – it’s a magic I cannot fully explain!

Never did I ever imagine that taking up running a couple of years ago would open up such a world. Running has completely freed me and made me a better person all round. As someone who has never really felt like they’ve fit in anywhere, it’s nice to have found my tribe within the trail running community.

I haven’t always loved running, I found it hard but soon recognised the physical and mental benefits. I have always preferred the trails but since meeting Perry & Michelle on one of their guided runs I’ve discovered a real joy in running trails and now have a few ultras under my belt.

I feel very lucky to have been welcomed into the trail running community. So Many places to explore and spending time with like minded people who become friends honestly fills me with joy. I often find myself running with a huge smile on my face 😄

I’ve found my tribe. 💕

My running started with the race for life, only 5k- but I felt a huge sense of achievement when I finished. I then ran alone for many years not really knowing how to “get into running “ I eventually joined a running club and ran on the road doing the usual 10ks and half marathons. But I was never truly happy although the smiles said different, as I was that runner at the back , always last, feeling everyone was judging me and anxious that I was holding everyone up.

Fast forward to now- wow !!what a year I have had. I’m off the road and onto the trails, even venturing abroad and being totally inspired by the people I’ve met in this group.

They don’t mind If I’m at the back or slower than them. They truly make me feel part of a very special team and for the first time a real runner.

Hi, I am Jade. I have run for many reasons over the years; weight loss, PB’s, habit. But since finding trail running, I run for fun and friendship. It’s a chance to see places I wouldn’t normally see, I’ve run on mountains and coast paths and made lifelong friends along the way.

Trail running has enriched my life in ways I never would have imagined. To come off the road and discover you can run for the fun of it, rather than to slog it out trying to eke 10 seconds off your PB has made running so much more enjoyable.

I’ve come from a team sport background in football, I always found myself being able to run that bit further and I would end games strong. I only realised after stopping football, my potential for running and more specifically endurance or longer races was staring me in the face all these years!

Heading out onto the trails allows me to become free from the worries of the world, the stresses of life, for as long as I want to go, running will make them disappear. My curiosity to explore keeps leading me down new paths and trails.

Having completed a few marathons and Ultramarathons my eagerness to explore and push myself is helping me become a better person, a more hands on engaging Dad and the most important thing is making me proud of myself.
